Quantum computing is one of the most significant technological shifts of our time. It has the potential to transform how we approach some of humanity’s greatest challenges, from accelerating drug discovery and reinventing cybersecurity to unlocking new frontiers in artificial intelligence and scientific research.

Australia is well placed to lead, but leadership in quantum computing isn’t just about hardware and algorithms. It depends on people, researchers who combine deep technical expertise with the vision, skills, and connections to turn breakthrough science into real-world impact. FLiQC was born out of this understanding.

Funded by the Australian Research Council and built on the combined strength of five leading universities and thirteen industry and government partners, FLiQC brings together an exceptional national cohort of PhD researchers working across the full quantum computing stack. Our candidates work alongside the organisations at the frontier of the field, solving genuine problems and developing technologies that will define the next era of computing.
