FLiQC Next-Gen Quantum Computing School [Inaugural]
FLiQC Next-Gen Quantum Computing School 8–9 April 2026 | Sydney Knowledge Hub, University of Sydney | Free to attend
What was it? An intensive two-day bootcamp that gave undergraduate and Honours students a real, immersive look inside quantum computing research, and the people driving it.
What’s on? Heard from FLiQC’s leading researchers across quantum algorithms, architectures, and devices. Met industry partners actively building Australia’s quantum future. Toured cutting-edge lab facilities at the Sydney Nanoscience Hub. And heard directly from current PhD students about what the program is actually like.
Who’s it for? Undergraduate and Honours students studying physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or a related discipline. NSW-based and interstate students were both welcome to apply.
How much does it cost? Nothing, the School was free to attend. Travel scholarships of up to $500 were available for interstate students, and up to $700 for those travelling from Western Australia.
How did people apply? Applications opened 16 February and closed 4 March 2026. Successful applicants were notified on 11 March 2026.
Delivered by FLiQC in collaboration with Sydney Quantum Academy.
