About Andrea
Scientia Professor Andrea Morello is an electrical engineer and quantum physicist at UNSW Sydney. He is an Australian Research Council Laureate Fellow, Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computer Performance and Integration (QPI), and Scientia Professor of Quantum Engineering in the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications.
After completing his studies in Italy and the Netherlands and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia, Andrea joined UNSW in 2006.
His research focuses on building quantum computers based on single spins in silicon. Beyond his research, Andrea is actively involved in science outreach and education, helping to promote quantum science and inspire future generations of researchers.
