FLiQC is pleased to welcome Emergence Quantum to its growing network of industry partners, marking the beginning of a collaboration focused on one of the most technically challenging frontiers in quantum computing.
Emergence Quantum is an Australian company pioneering the scalable hardware systems and foundational technologies that next-generation quantum computers will depend on. Led by David Reilly and Thomas Ohki, whose combined experience spans Microsoft Quantum, Raytheon, and BBN Technologies. The company brings deep expertise in cryogenic control electronics, complex systems integration, and the kind of engineering challenges that only reveal themselves as quantum systems begin to scale.
Together, we will collaborate on a research project exploring the entanglement of microwave and optical quantum technologies using rare-earth ion quantum memories, a research direction with significant implications for the development of quantum networks and hybrid quantum systems.
